To Get Here......

Don't look for signs - we don't have any, but what we do, is fly a flag with a sea lion and dolphin print at the front of the office on the beach which can be seen as you drive in from the beginning of the village. This is the point you will need to get to for tour departure.

Once you arrive in Baird Bay, the first place you will come to is the Baird Bay campground and lookout which is on the left just before you drive in to the village, keep going past the first line of beach houses that are on your left, beach on the right, you will come to a public phonebox. Opposite the phonebox to your right is an access drive into a small carpark where you can leave your vehicle or you can drive down on to the beach, turn left, and drive on up the beach to the flag, about 9 houses down - we are the last place going up the beach in Baird Bay. There is safe car parking in front of the Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience reception building on the beach

Beach access is quite okay for a conventional vehicles, with or without a caravan, campervans, mobile homes and 4 wheel drives.

There is "no parking" for tour passengers at the back of the reception building - this carpark is reserved for accommodation clients only. All tour passengers are requested to enter from the beachfront of the reception centre.

Baird Bay and Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience are situated on the Eyre Peninsula 703km North West of Adelaide, South Australia.
Please check routes and travel time, plan to arrive with plenty of time before tours depart.

What else can I do in your area?...

Take a visit to the beautifully eery Murphy's Haystacks on sunset for photographers or anytime of the day and experience a feeling of times past (if only the rocks could speak).
Point Labatt Sea Lion colony is a must even if you have swum with the lions at Baird Bay. This is an amazing place as the cliffs the viewing platform is set on are stunning, the view incredible with the added benefit of being able to watch the sea lions go about their daily business below, untouched, undisturbed and without a care and then from this point?.....wander back into Streaky Bay going via the small town of Sceale Bay and then following "this yellow brick road" winding your way in and around Westal Way and then at the end of it taking in some great oyster tasting from one of the local Oyster Farmers in Streaky Bay.
